Richard Meier. Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA)

The ‘Museum Building Series’ published by Ediciones Polígrafa is a collection of guidebooks on the architectural features of selected museum buildings. Its aim is to put the spotlight on the architecture that houses art collections and to fill the publishing gap on books about these kinds of buildings. This publication focuses on the Museu d’art Contemporani de Barcelona, designed by Richard Meier, with details of the parameters that guided the architect, his objectives, the dialogue between the building and the surrounding area, and the construction process. The book includes photographs and design plans, as well as texts by some of the people who were involved in the project.
