Peter Fischli & David Weiss. Món visible
The installation Visible World (originally made for Documenta X, 1997) by Peter Fischli and David Weiss – a series of images displayed on a twenty-two meter long light box – explored the use of photography on a mass scale as a means of slowing down and capturing the world. The artists worked with banal, straightforward perception and a feel for the everyday so that spectators would be able to look at the snapshots without prejudices, interference or codification. The catalogue contains the 2,800 photographs just as they were displayed in the exhibition, without text to influence the spectator.
