Public Space / Two Audiences. Works and Documents from the Herbert Collection. Inventaire

Annick and Anton Herbert began collecting art in 1973 in a cultural context in which new trends were beginning to emerge. Located in Ghent, Belgium, the Herbert Collection consists of works by forty-five international artists, most of them exponents of the conceptual, minimal, and arte povera movements that developed in Europe and the United States in the 1970s. This publication presents a selection of works from the Collection and explores the issues of art collecting, memory and history.
